When your library customers are looking for cataloging and processing services, Turtleback's partnership with Medialog Inc. is the solution.

Medialog Inc. provides bibliographic records to school and public libraries through publishers and booksellers. All records are prepared from examination of the book item being cataloged, resulting in the most accurate information possible. Turtleback Books sends all of their titles to Medialog for cataloging and assumes this cost, so that bookstores and libraries do not have to pay to have books cataloged or pass this cost on to their customers.

All Medialog records include:
  • Dewey Decimal classification
  • Sears and Library of Congress subject headings
  • Detailed physical description
  • Summary note
  • Complete contents notes for story collections and collective biography

Medialog supplies a host of support items for these records, including catalog cards, spine labels, barcode labels, property labels, and reading program labels.

Medialog also produces clear polyester book covers, sheeted and in rolls, in a variety of sizes and styles. To receive these services, your bookstore would need to work directly with Medialog to purchase processing materials.
